Sherif Ekramy Ahmed Ahmed El-Shahat (born on 10 July 1983) is a famous Egyptian footballer. He plays as a goalkeeper for Pyramids FC. He has also played for the Egypt national team.
Sherif started his football journey at Al Ahly when he was young. In 2005, he moved to the Dutch club Feyenoord. After four years, he returned to Egypt and joined El Gouna FC. He helped them get promoted to the top league. In 2010, he went back to Al Ahly and stayed there for ten years. Since 2020, he has been playing for Pyramids FC.
Sherif Ekramy also played in two big youth football tournaments. He was part of the Egyptian team that won a bronze medal in the 2001 World Youth Championship. He also played in the 2003 tournament. Sherif is the son of another famous Egyptian goalkeeper, Ekramy El-Shahat.

Sherif's Club Football Journey
Starting at Al Ahly
Sherif Ekramy was a very talented young player at Al Ahly. He joined the first team in 2002 when he was just 19. However, he did not play in a match until 2004.
He was the captain of the Egypt Under-20 team in 2003. They won the African Youth Championship. Because of his amazing performance, many clubs wanted him. He chose to join Feyenoord in the Netherlands.
Playing in the Netherlands with Feyenoord
Sherif's time in the Netherlands was not very easy. Even though he was a great talent, he often sat on the bench. He was usually a reserve goalkeeper.
On 11 February 2007, he played his first main league match for Feyenoord. This was against FC Twente. In three years with the club, he played only seven matches. He did help them win the 2007–08 KNVB Cup in his last season there.
Returning to Al Ahly
In 2010, Sherif Ekramy went back to Al Ahly. He stayed with them until 2020. During these ten years, he won many trophies. He helped Al Ahly win 21 different titles in Egypt and Africa.
Joining Pyramids FC
In June 2020, Sherif Ekramy moved to another club in the Egyptian Premier League. He joined Pyramids FC.
Playing for Egypt: International Career
Sherif Ekramy has also played for the Egypt national team. He represented his country in important matches.
In May 2018, he was chosen to be part of Egypt’s team. This team played in the 2018 FIFA World Cup in Russia. It was a big moment for him to be on the national squad.
