Sherif Ekramy Ahmed Ahmed El-Shahat (born 10 July 1983) is a famous Egyptian footballer. He plays as a goalkeeper for Pyramids FC. He also played for the Egypt national team.
Sherif started his football journey at Al Ahly when he was young. In 2005, he moved to the Dutch club Feyenoord. After playing in Europe, he came back to Egypt. He joined El Gouna FC and then returned to Al Ahly in 2010. He stayed there for ten years. In 2020, he joined Pyramids FC. Sherif is the son of another famous goalkeeper, Ekramy El-Shahat.

Sherif Ekramy's Football Journey
Starting at Al Ahly
Sherif Ekramy was a very promising young player at Al Ahly. He joined the first team in 2002 when he was 19. He became well-known for his great skills as a captain for the Egypt Under-20 team. He helped them win the 2003 African Youth Championship title. Many clubs wanted him, but he chose to join Feyenoord in the Netherlands.
Playing in the Netherlands
Sherif's time in the Netherlands with Feyenoord was a bit challenging. He was a talented player but often played as a reserve goalkeeper. On 11 February 2007, he played his first main league match for Feyenoord. During his three years there, he played only seven matches. However, he helped the team win the 2007–08 KNVB Cup, which is a big cup competition in the Netherlands.
Coming Back to Al Ahly
In 2010, Sherif Ekramy returned to his home club, Al Ahly. He played there for ten years, until 2020. During this time, he achieved amazing success. He helped Al Ahly win 21 different titles. These included national league titles and important African club championships.
Joining Pyramids FC
In June 2020, Sherif Ekramy moved to another club in the Egyptian Premier League, Pyramids FC. He continues to play as a goalkeeper for them.
Playing for Egypt
Sherif Ekramy also represented his country, Egypt, in international matches. He played in two World Youth Cups. In 2001, he was part of the team that won a bronze medal in Argentina. He also played in the 2003 tournament in the United Arab Emirates. In May 2018, he was chosen for Egypt's team that went to the 2018 FIFA World Cup in Russia.
