History of Grand Falls
In the 1890s, people built a power plant at Grand Falls. This plant used the water's power to make electricity. Today, the old power plant is no longer used.
In the early 1900s, Grand Falls was a popular spot for visitors. There was a theatre, places to keep boats, and even a dance hall. A special train, the Missouri Pacific Railroad, would bring people to enjoy the falls. It was a fun place for families and friends to visit.
