Chanel Scot Cali (born on December 25, 1983), known as Shystie, is an English rapper, songwriter, and actress. She grew up in Hackney, East London. Shystie became well-known in 2003. This happened after she released her own song in response to Dizzee Rascal's "I Luv U". She also went on tour with famous artists like Basement Jaxx, The Streets, and 50 Cent. This led to her signing with a big music company called Polydor. Shystie is also the main actress in the TV show Dubplate Drama.

Shystie's First Album: Diamond in the Dirt
Shystie's first album, Diamond in the Dirt, came out in the UK in 2004. It was released by Polydor Records.
First Songs and Success
Her first song was "One Wish". It reached number 40 on the UK Singles Chart in its first week. This was impressive because it didn't get much support from big radio stations. Only Channel U and MTV Base played it. The other song on the single was "One Wish Remix". It featured Kano and was produced by Terror Danja. Her second song was "Make It Easy", which reached number 57. The album Diamond in the Dirt sold 60,000 copies across the UK. In the same year, Shystie was nominated for 'Best Newcomer' at the MOBO Awards.
Shystie in a Video Game
In 2004, Shystie was even a character in a computer game called Juiced. She was in the early version of the game. She also recorded a song and video called "Juiced" for the game's soundtrack. This song was also a bonus track on her album. In the final version of the game, her character was replaced.
Shystie's TV Show: Dubplate Drama
Dubplate Drama was a British TV show on Channel 4. It aired from November 2005 to July 2009. Shystie and her manager helped create the show. The story was about young musicians trying to get a record deal. Shystie played the main role.
Show Format and Impact
There were three series of Dubplate Drama. The first two series had shorter episodes. The third series had two longer special episodes. The show was special because it was "the world's first interactive drama series". This meant viewers could vote on what happened next in each episode. The first two series were released on DVD. Many well-known British talents appeared in the show. These included Noel Clarke, Adam Deacon, N-Dubz, and Tim Westwood.

In September 2011, Shystie wrote the main song for the movie Sket. She also wrote four other songs that were used in the film.

In March 2012, Shystie acted as Toya in the short film Illegal Activity. This film was shown for the first time at the Bafta headquarters.

Fashion and Collaborations
In September 2011, Shystie modeled for English designer Nasir Mazhar at London Fashion Week. She was featured in Vogue magazine for her performance. In February 2013, she modeled and performed at London Fashion Week again. She was featured in Vogue for a second time.
Pink Mist EP
On April 28, 2013, Shystie released her EP Pink Mist. She released it on her own through her team, Starwork Music. It reached number 4 on the music charts.
