Sidharth "Sid" Sriram (born May 19, 1990) is a talented Indian musician. He is known for his Carnatic music, which is a classical style from South India, and also for his R&B (Rhythm and Blues) songs. Sid Sriram is a music producer and a playback singer. Playback singers record songs for actors to lip-sync in movies. He sings in many languages, including Tamil, Telugu, Kannada, Malayalam, Hindi, Marathi and English. Sid often works with his sister, Pallavi Sriram, who is a Bharatanatyam dancer and music director.

Early Life and Musical Journey
Sid Sriram was born in Chennai, Tamil Nadu, India. When he was just one year old, his family moved to the United States. He grew up in Fremont, California.
Learning Music
Sid's mother, Latha Sriram, helped him develop his musical skills. She was a Carnatic music teacher in the San Francisco Bay Area. Sid started learning Carnatic music when he was only three years old. At the same time, he also began to enjoy and learn R&B music.
After finishing high school in 2008, he went to the Berklee College of Music. There, he studied music production and engineering. After graduating, Sid often visited India. He performed in Carnatic concerts, especially during the December Music season called Marghazhi Utsavam. He has since moved back to India and now lives in Chennai.
Music Career Highlights
Sid Sriram has worked on many songs in different languages. He has sung in Malayalam films like "Uyire" from Gauthamante Radham. He also sang Telugu songs such as "Kola Kale Ila" from Varudu Kaavalenu. In Bollywood, he sang two songs for the Hindi film Jhund.
Composing Music
Sid also started composing music for films. His first project as a music composer was for the film Vaanam Kottatum. This movie was produced by the famous director Mani Ratnam. Sid's song "Srivalli" from the movie Pushpa: The Rise became very popular.
Independent Albums
Outside of film music, Sid Sriram has released his own albums. In 2019, he released his first album called Entropy. This album was based on an independent song he released in 2012.
In 2021, he began working on an all-English album called Sidharth. He worked with producer Ryan Olson on this album. Sidharth mixes Carnatic music with R&B and indie rock styles. This album was released on August 25, 2023. Before the album came out, he released singles like "Dear Sahana," "The Hard Way," and "Friendly Fire." Sid has also worked with other independent musicians on various songs.

Sid Sriram has won several awards for his singing. He has been recognized for his work in both Tamil and Telugu films.
- In 2016, he won the Filmfare Award for Best Male Playback Singer – Tamil for his song "Ennodu Nee Irundhaal" from the film I.
- In 2017, he won the Asiavision Award for Best Playback Singer - Male (Tamil).
- In 2018, he won the SIIMA Award for Best Playback Singer - Male for the song "Macho" from Mersal.
- In 2019, he won the Behindwoods Gold Medals for "Voice of the Year." He also won the Filmfare Award for Best Male Playback Singer – Tamil for "High on Love" from Pyaar Prema Kaadhal. In the same year, he won the Filmfare Award for Best Male Playback Singer – Telugu for "Inkem Inkem" from Geetha Govindam.
