Silvia Colloca (born July 23, 1977) is a well-known Italian-Australian actress, opera singer, and author. She is also a popular TV cook who has written six cookbooks. Silvia shares her love for Italian food and culture through her shows and books.

About Silvia's Life
Silvia Colloca was born in Milan, Italy. Her parents are Loredana and Mario Colloca. Silvia got her first big movie part in the film Van Helsing. In this movie, she played Verona, one of Dracula's brides.
On September 25, 2004, Silvia married Australian actor Richard Roxburgh. He played Dracula in the same film! Their wedding was at a medieval castle in Tuscany, Italy. Silvia and Richard have two sons and one daughter. Their family lives in Sydney, Australia.
Silvia's Singing Career
Silvia is a trained opera singer. She can sing in a voice range called mezzo-soprano. Before she became a movie actress, she performed in musical theater in Italy.
In 2015, Silvia played the role of Orfeo in an opera called Orfeo ed Euridice in Sydney. She also performed as The Queen in a production of Snow White in 2016.
Silvia released her first music album, Sing Like an Italian, in October 2022. It was released by Decca Records. The album quickly became very popular, reaching number 1 on the ARIA Core Classical and Classical/Crossover music charts in Australia.

Her first Australian TV series was Made in Italy with Silvia Colloca. It started in November 2014 on SBS TV. At the same time, she released a cookbook with the same name.
In this show, Silvia took a film crew to Italy to meet her family. She showed viewers three beautiful regions of Italy: Abruzzo, Marche, and Molise. Her family is from Abruzzo. Silvia used her mother's kitchen to show how to make traditional Italian "peasant foods," which are simple, delicious dishes.
Silvia's Italian Table
Another show, Silvia's Italian Table, began on ABC in October 2016. This series had eight parts. In each episode, Silvia invited famous people to cook and eat with her. They also had fun and interesting conversations. Some of her guests included Kathy Lette, Lisa McCune, Magda Szubanski, and Ian Thorpe.
Cook Like an Italian
Cook Like an Italian is another popular TV series Silvia hosted. It started on SBS Food in November 2020. This show was so popular that it had a second season in April 2021 and a third season in May 2022.
