Siniša Ubiparipović, born on August 25, 1983, is a former professional soccer player. He was born in Bosnia and later became an American citizen. Siniša played as a midfielder for many teams during his career.

Early Life
Siniša Ubiparipović was born in Zenica, a town that was part of Yugoslavia at the time. His family moved to Belgrade, Serbia, in 1992. They moved to escape the Bosnian War. In 1999, his family came to the United States.
Siniša started playing soccer when he was a small child. He joined the youth teams of Čelik Zenica.
Soccer Career
College Soccer
Siniša began his college soccer journey in 2002. He played for the University of Illinois at Chicago. Later, he moved to the University of Akron, where he played from 2004 to 2006.
At Akron, Siniša was recognized as an NSCAA All-American in his last two years. He was also named the Mid-American Conference Player of the Year in 2006. During his college years, he also played for teams like Cleveland Internationals and Chicago Fire Premier. He was even named to the Premier Development League's All-Central Conference team while with Chicago Fire Premier.
Professional Teams
In 2007, Siniša was chosen by the New York Red Bulls in the 2007 MLS SuperDraft. This draft is how professional soccer teams pick new players. In his first year with New York, he played in 12 regular season games. He also played in two playoff matches.
During the 2007 season, he was also loaned for one game to Minnesota Thunder. He scored one goal in that game. In 2008, Siniša played in 16 regular season games and scored his first league goal. On August 10, 2008, he scored a goal in New York's 4–1 win against D.C. United. He helped his team reach the 2008 MLS Cup final. In 2009, Siniša played in 23 games for the Red Bulls, which was his highest number of appearances in a season.
On March 20, 2010, Siniša started a game for the Red Bulls at their new home, Red Bull Arena. They won that game 3–1 against Santos FC. On May 12, 2010, he scored his second goal for the New York Red Bulls in a 3–0 win.
After his contract with New York Red Bulls ended in 2010, Siniša became a free agent. This means he could sign with any team. On August 2, 2011, he signed with Montreal Impact. He played 10 games for Montreal, scoring three goals and making four assists. He was named the club's newcomer of the year. In 2012, he continued to play for the Impact as they joined Major League Soccer.
On February 6, 2014, Siniša signed with Ottawa Fury FC. He was a very important player for Ottawa in 2015. He scored 5 goals and made 8 assists in 26 games, helping Ottawa win the NASL fall season title. He then signed with Indy Eleven on December 15, 2015.
On September 20, 2017, Siniša Ubiparipović announced that he would stop playing professional soccer. He retired at the end of the 2017 season.
Personal Life
Siniša has a brother named Slaviša Ubiparipović. Slaviša also played soccer for the Cleveland Internationals. He currently plays for the San Diego Sockers.
