In 1611, Sir Philip received another special honor. He was made a Baronet. This was a new title at the time, similar to a knight but passed down through the family. His title was "Baronet, of Wilberhall in the County of Norfolk."

Sir Philip Wodehouse married Grizell Yelverton on December 22, 1582. They had a son named Thomas. When Sir Philip passed away on October 30, 1623, his son Thomas inherited his Baronet title. Lady Grizell Wodehouse died later, in August 1635.

Sir Philip Wodehouse is an ancestor of a famous British writer, P. G. Wodehouse. P. G. Wodehouse was known for his funny stories and books.

Interestingly, a women's jacket that is now in the Museum of Fine Arts, Boston is believed to have once belonged to Sir Philip's wife, Grizell Wodehouse.
