Siris is a small town in Italy. It is a comune, which is like a municipality or local government area. Siris is located in the Province of Oristano, which is part of the Sardinia region.
This town is about 60 kilometers (37 miles) northwest of Cagliari. It is also about 25 kilometers (15 miles) southeast of Oristano. In December 2004, Siris had a population of 235 people. Its total area is about 6.0 square kilometers (2.3 square miles).
Siris shares its borders with a few other towns. These include Masullas, Morgongiori, and Pompu. Siris is special because its name is a palindrome. This means it reads the same forwards and backward! Other Italian towns with palindromic names are Ala, Ateleta, Onano, and Orero.
