Skatoony is a super fun animated game show where real kids compete against cartoon characters! It was made by different companies around the world, including FremantleMedia Animation in the UK, Blink Studios for the Arabic version, and Marblemedia with Smiley Guy Studios for the North American version.
The show used to be on Cartoon Network in the UK. You can still sometimes catch reruns on Teletoon in Canada. In the US, it was available online on Toon Goggles and aired on Starz Kids & Family until 2019.
Your hosts for this wild game show are the hilarious 'Chudd Chudders' and his sidekick 'The Earl'. Chudd is voiced by Rupert Degas in the UK and Jonathan Wilson in North America. The Earl is voiced by Lewis MacLeod in the UK and James Rankin in North America.

How the Game Show Works
Skatoony is a quiz show with three rounds. Six contestants play: three real kids and three cartoon characters.
At the end of the first two rounds, the two players with the lowest scores are eliminated. When someone is out, they are usually launched from their seats while the hosts and other contestants sing, "You're Outta Here!" The losing contestants often land in a silly or gross "factory" like 'Compost World' or a 'Dirty Diaper Factory'.
The first round is always called Bang On! or Bogus?. The other two rounds change in each episode. The show is set up so that a real kid always makes it to the final round!
The Final Challenge
After three rounds, only one contestant is left. This person takes on the Skatoony Quiz Champ Challenge. They have 90 seconds to answer ten questions correctly.
About halfway through, 'Earl's Halfway Deal' is offered. The contestant can trade some time for extra points to help them win. If they answer all ten questions correctly and still have time left, they win an awesome prize! If they finish super fast (under 45 seconds), they get the special title of "#1 Skatoony Quiz Champ Champion".
Cool Prizes You Could Win
The prizes for winning the Skatoony Quiz Champ Challenge were different depending on where you watched the show:
- In North America, winners in the first season got an iPod touch. Later seasons kept the grand prize a secret!
- In the British version, the prizes were:
- Season 1: A Sony PSP (sometimes an iPod or even a frog!).
- Season 2: A Nintendo Wii.
- Season 3: An iPod Touch (sometimes a Nintendo DS or a chocolate model of Charles La Puck!).
Guest Stars on Skatoony
Sometimes, famous cartoon characters from other shows would appear as guest contestants! They would take the place of a regular cartoon character from the UK version of the show. For example, in the episode 'Skeleton Crew in Da House' in North America, Harold (from Total Drama) replaced Scabz.

- Alphabet Soup (Season 2) - Contestants have letters in a liquid. Chudd asks a question, and the answer starts with a letter. You have to show the right letter!
- Colourful Language (Season 3) - Contestants have colored boxes. Chudd asks questions about the colors written on the boxes. You have to say the color written, not the color of the box!
- Throw If You Know (Seasons 2 and 3) - Contestants wear big hats with balls. Chudd asks questions, and if you know the answer, you throw the correct ball to him!
- Blindfold Buffet (Season 2) - Contestants are blindfolded and have to guess foods or animals by touch to answer questions. This round is not played in the studio!

- Fast Food (Seasons 1 and 2) - A speed quiz challenge! Contestants answer questions while their opponent eats a lot of food.
