Bromont's History and Growth
When Bromont First Opened
Bromont ski resort first opened its doors for the 1964-1965 ski season. This was the same year that a new highway, Quebec Autoroute 10, made it easier to get there. The City of Bromont was also created in 1964.
Mountain Improvements
Over the years, Bromont kept growing. In 1978, a second building for skiers was built at the very top of the mountain. Both the City of Montreal and the Canadian government have helped invest in the resort. The government's money helped build special facilities for the Bromont Ski School. This was done for a big international ski competition called a World Cup event.
