Bromont, montagne d'expériences is a super fun ski resort located in Bromont, Quebec. It's built on the slopes of three mountains: Mont Brome, Mont Spruce, and Pic du Chevreuil. This amazing place is known for its alpine skiing, which means skiing down mountains.

Bromont is famous for having the largest number of lit-up ski runs in North America! This means you can ski even after the sun goes down. It's one of the four main ski spots in the Eastern Townships, which is an area east of Montreal. The other big ski resorts nearby are Ski Mont Sutton, Ski Mont Orford, and Owl's Head. Bromont is only about 45 minutes away from Montreal, making it easy to visit.

The mountains at Bromont are part of the Appalachian mountain range. Mont Brome is about 2000 feet (610 meters) high. The resort has a "vertical drop" of 1300 feet (396 meters). This is the difference in height from the top of the ski runs to the bottom. There are 9 chair lifts to take you up the mountain.

Bromont's History and Growth

When Bromont First Opened

Bromont ski resort first opened its doors for the 1964-1965 ski season. This was the same year that a new highway, Quebec Autoroute 10, made it easier to get there. The City of Bromont was also created in 1964.

Mountain Improvements

Over the years, Bromont kept growing. In 1978, a second building for skiers was built at the very top of the mountain. Both the City of Montreal and the Canadian government have helped invest in the resort. The government's money helped build special facilities for the Bromont Ski School. This was done for a big international ski competition called a World Cup event.

Night Skiing Leader

Bromont became the biggest place for night skiing in eastern North America in 2006. They added even more lights, so skiers could enjoy over 50 lit-up runs!
