Ski Montcalm is a fun ski resort located in Rawdon, Québec, Canada. It's a great place for skiing and snowboarding. This mountain has been open since 1969. It is part of the Lanaudière region.
The ski area has twenty-four trails spread across three mountainsides. Ski Montcalm is also a member of the Quebec Ski Area Association (ASSQ).
History of Ski Montcalm
Ski Montcalm was started by Tadek Barnowski in 1969. He opened the resort a few years after moving from Poland. It is special because it is one of the few ski hills still owned by the same family. Tadek Barnowski passed the resort down to his children, John and Joanna.
Before the 2019 ski season, a special covered ramp was added. This ramp helps young skiers get up the training hill more easily. This type of covered ramp was the first of its kind in Canada. A similar ramp can be found in Europe, in a place called Chamonix.
During the winter season of 2019-2020, Ski Montcalm held many activities. These events celebrated the resort's 50th year of being open.
In 2019, Ski Montcalm also joined the OuiCanSki program. This program helps new Canadians learn about snow sports like skiing and snowboarding.

You can rent lockers to keep your ski equipment safe during the ski season.
There is also a cafeteria where you can buy food and drinks. It is open during the resort's operating hours.
