Exploring Mt. Abram's Slopes
Mt. Abram is split into two main sections, each offering something different for skiers and snowboarders.
Westside: Perfect for Beginners
The first part is called Westside. This area is fantastic for anyone just starting out or still learning. It has a double Chairlift and a Ski tow (which is like a rope or handle that pulls you up a gentle slope). Most of the ski and snowboard lessons happen here. It's a safe and easy place to practice your turns and get comfortable on the snow.
Main Mountain: Challenges for Experts
The other part is the main mountain. This section is where you'll find more challenging trails. The main lift here is called The Way Back Machine, which is another double chairlift. On the main mountain, you'll discover trails marked with Black Diamonds and Blue Squares.
- Blue Square trails are considered intermediate. They are steeper than beginner trails but still manageable for most skiers who have some experience.
- Black Diamond trails are for expert skiers. These are the steepest and most challenging runs on the mountain, perfect if you love a thrill!
