Skidaway Island State Park is a beautiful state park located close to Savannah, Georgia. It's a fantastic place to explore nature and enjoy the outdoors. The park is right next to the Skidaway Narrows, which is part of Georgia's Intracoastal Waterway. This waterway is like a special water highway that runs along the coast.
You can walk on trails that go through a unique maritime forest, which is a forest found near the sea. You'll also see amazing salt marshes, which are wetlands flooded by ocean tides. These trails lead to a cool boardwalk and an observation tower. From there, you can look out for all sorts of animals!

The park also has new camper cabins. These cabins are super cozy and have screened porches, air conditioning, and a bathroom with a shower. They also include a kitchen, a main bedroom, and a fun sleeping loft for kids! Outside each cabin, you'll find a picnic table, a grill, and a fire ring for campfires.

If you're just visiting for the day, there are open-air picnic shelters. There's also an enclosed group shelter. These spots are popular for parties, family reunions, and other fun celebrations.
