Where is Skunk Run Located?
Skunk Run starts in the eastern part of Lawrence County. It begins near the border between Shenango Township and Slippery Rock Township.
Its Journey to Slippery Rock Creek
From its starting point, Skunk Run flows towards the southeast. It travels for about 2.93 miles (4.72 kilometers). Eventually, it reaches and joins Slippery Rock Creek. This meeting point is inside the beautiful McConnells Mill State Park. You can find it just a bit downstream from the Armstrong Bridge.

The land area that drains water into Skunk Run is called its watershed. This watershed covers about 1.86 square miles (4.82 square kilometers). Nearly half of this area is covered by forests. This means the stream flows through many trees and natural areas.
