Skurup Municipality (which is called Skurups kommun in Swedish) is a local government area in southern Sweden. It is located in Skåne County. The main town and administrative center of the municipality is Skurup. Some people consider Skurup Municipality to be part of the larger Greater Malmö area.
The municipality we know today was created in 1971. This happened when the market town of Skurup joined together with two other areas, Rydsgård and Vemmenhög.
