Patrick Leroy "Sleepy" Brown was born on January 24, 1970. He is an American singer, songwriter, and music producer. He is famous for being one-third of the production team called Organized Noize. This team has created many hit songs for popular groups like Outkast, Goodie Mob, and TLC.

One of their biggest hits was "Waterfalls" by TLC. Sleepy Brown helped write this song. It became a number one hit on the Billboard Hot 100 chart in 1995.

Sleepy Brown's Music Journey

Sleepy Brown was born in Savannah, Georgia. Besides producing music for others, he also records his own songs as an artist.

He released his first solo album, Sleepy's Theme–The Vinyl Room, in 1998. He also sang on songs with famous artists like Beyoncé and Big Boi. One of his well-known collaborations was on Big Boi's song "The Way You Move", which was a number one hit in the U.S.

In 2004, his song "I Can't Wait" was featured in the movie Barbershop 2: Back in Business. Later, he signed with Big Boi's record label, Purple Ribbon Records. He released his second album, Mr. Brown, in 2006.

Sleepy Brown's father is Jimmy Brown. Jimmy Brown was the lead singer and saxophonist for the 1970s funk band called Brick.
