Snook is about 13 miles (21 km) southwest of College Station. It is also 17 miles (27 km) southeast of Caldwell, which is the main town of Burleson County.

Snook is famous for hosting Chilifest, a big annual event. This charity event has been held every year since 1991. It brings together some of the biggest country music stars.
Chilifest is a two-day event that includes a chili cook-off and a concert. More than 50,000 people come to Snook for this festival each year. It's a huge party that helps raise money for good causes.
Over the years, Chilifest has donated more than $3,500,000 to local groups. These groups include Burleson County Go-Texan, the Boys & Girls Club of Brazos Valley, and the Snook Volunteer Fire Department.
