History of the Solomons Temple Islands
Early Studies and Discoveries
In 1950, a scientist named Thomas Henry Manning visited the Solomons Temple Islands. He studied the northern beach of the islands. Manning was interested in how high the tide reached. He looked at the lines of driftwood left behind by unusually high tides. This helped him understand the history of the water levels in the area.
