Somerset Lake is a natural body of water. It is found in the beautiful Catskill Mountains region of New York. This lake is not very big. It covers about 58 acres of land. That's like 58 football fields!

The lake sits at a high point. Its elevation is about 1,542 feet above sea level. This means it is quite high up in the mountains.

Where is Somerset Lake Located?

Somerset Lake is in Delaware County, New York. This county is in the southeastern part of New York State. The lake is close to a small place called Lordville. Lordville is a hamlet, which is a very small village.

The lake is found north-northwest of Lordville. This means if you were in Lordville, you would travel a bit north and then a bit west to find the lake.

How Does Water Move Through the Lake?

Lakes often have water flowing into them and out of them. Somerset Lake gets its water from a stream called Humphries Brook. This brook flows into the lake.
