South Fallsburg is a small community in Sullivan County, New York, United States. It is known as both a hamlet and a census-designated place (CDP). A hamlet is a small settlement, and a CDP is an area defined by the U.S. Census Bureau for statistical purposes. South Fallsburg is part of the larger Town of Fallsburg. South Fallsburg is located in the Catskill Mountains. This area was once a popular vacation spot called the Borscht Belt. Many people came here for summer getaways.
