The South Moravian Region is a special area, or kraj, in the Czech Republic. It's like a big county with its own government. The main city and capital of this region is Brno.
This region is super famous for making wine! Most of the vineyards in the Czech Republic are found here. Areas around towns like Mikulov, Znojmo, and Velké Pavlovice, along with the Slovácko region, grow 94% of the country's wine grapes.
You can also find Podyjí National Park in the southeastern part of the South Moravian Region. It's a beautiful place to explore nature.

The South Moravian Region has many interesting spots for visitors. Here are some of them:
- Brno: The capital city is full of history. You can see the amazing Cathedral of St. Peter and Paul, the modern Villa Tugendhat, and even the spooky Capuchin Crypt.
- Dolní Věstonice: This is an important place where scientists have found very old things from people who lived long, long ago.
- Lednice-Valtice: This huge area with castles and gardens is so special that UNESCO has made it a World Heritage Site. It's like a giant outdoor museum!
- Macocha Gorge: This is a very deep natural hole in the ground, part of a bigger cave system. It's quite a sight!
- Masaryk Circuit: If you like fast cars and motorbikes, this is where exciting races happen.
- Podyjí National Park: A beautiful national park with a winding river and lots of nature to explore.
- Slavkov u Brna (Austerlitz): This town is famous for a very important historical battle called the Battle of Austerlitz.
- Vranov nad Dyjí: Visit this town to see its impressive castle sitting high above the river.
- White Carpathians: This is a special nature area, or biosphere reservation, known for its unique plants and animals.
