South Rosemary is a community in Halifax County, North Carolina, in the United States. It's known as a census-designated place (CDP), which means it's an area that looks like a town but doesn't have its own local government. In 2020, about 2,753 people lived here. South Rosemary is also part of the larger Roanoke Rapids area.

South Rosemary is found in the northern part of Halifax County. It shares a border with the city of Roanoke Rapids to its east.

U.S. Route 158 is the main road that goes through South Rosemary. This road leads east into Roanoke Rapids. If you travel west on U.S. Route 158, you will reach Henderson, which is about 45 miles away.
