South Roxana is a small village in Madison County, Illinois, United States. It became an official village in March 1967. In 2020, about 1,891 people lived there.

Where is South Roxana Located?
South Roxana is surrounded by other towns and cities. To the north and east, you'll find the village of Roxana. To the south, there's a part of Edwardsville. To the west, you'll find the village of Hartford.
Getting Around South Roxana
Illinois Route 111 runs along the western side of South Roxana. This road goes north about 2 miles (3 km) to Wood River. It also goes south about 6 miles (10 km) to Pontoon Beach. If you want to visit downtown St. Louis, it's about 20 miles (32 km) to the south-southwest.
Another important road, Illinois Route 255, is a big four-lane highway. It passes just east of the village. You can get on Route 255 from Exits 3 and 5. This highway goes south about 4 miles (6 km) to connect with Interstates 255 and 270. It also goes north about 6 miles (10 km) to Bethalto.
