Spirit Warriors is an exciting adventure TV series for kids. It was shown on BBC Two, BBC HD, and CBBC. This show was special because it was the first British TV drama to have mostly actors of East Asian heritage.
The story gets its ideas from old Chinese myths and legends. It follows five schoolchildren: Bo, her sister Jen, Vicky, Trix, and Martin. During a school trip to a museum, something amazing happens! They are suddenly sent to a secret spirit world.
In this new world, they become Spirit Warriors. Each one gets a cool new spirit power. With help from their wise mentor, Shen, who is a dragon, they must use their powers. Their mission is to travel through the realms of Wood, Water, Earth, and Fire. They need to find twelve special spirit pieces. They must find them before the evil warlord Li and his helper Hwang do! If Li gets the pieces, he will control both the Spirit World and the real world.
The series was created and written by Jo Ho. Nick Pitt produced the show. Jon East was an executive producer and directed many episodes. He had won an award for another children's show. Mat King directed other episodes. Spirit Warriors has been shown in other countries too, like Norway, South Korea, New Zealand, and Singapore.
