History of St. Ann with Emmanuel Church
The current St. Ann with Emmanuel Church opened its doors in 1974. This church was built to replace two older churches that were no longer in use.
Replacing Older Churches
Before the current building, there were two other churches. One was called St. Ann's Church, Nottingham. It was designed by an architect named Robert Clarke. This church was taken down in 1971.
The second church was Emmanuel Church, Woodborough Road. It was designed by Watson Fothergill. This building was taken down in 1972. The new St. Ann with Emmanuel Church now serves the community where these two older churches once stood.
