History of St Cuthbert's Church
This church is really old! It was first built way back in the late 1100s. Imagine all the things that have happened since then! The church has a tall tower at the west end, a main area called the nave with windows high up (clerestorey), side sections called aisles, and a chancel where the altar is. The church has been repaired and updated a few times, once in 1840 and again in 1869, to keep it in good condition.
What is a Parish?
