When the Church Was Built

The current St Luke's Church was built a long time ago, in 1793. It was designed in a style called Classical. A very important person, Henry Noel, 6th Earl of Gainsborough, had it built.

The Old Church Building

Before this church, there was an even older church in Kinoulton. It was dedicated to a saint named St Wilfred. This old church was located north of Kinoulton Lane. The building itself was taken down. However, the old churchyard is still there. You can find 34 old headstones in it. These headstones date back to the 1700s.
