Staatl. Fachingen (which means Staatlich Fachingen in full) is a special mineral water from Germany. People first found this water in 1740. It was sold in jars starting in 1746 and then in bottles from 1870. This water is known for having a lot of hydrogen carbonate. This ingredient can help to balance out too much acid in your stomach.

The spring where the water comes from is in the Lahn valley. This area is north of Wiesbaden and near the edge of the Nassau natural preserve.

About the Company

The company that makes Staatl. Fachingen water has its main office in Fachingen/Lahn. Since 1990, it has been part of a bigger company called Mineralbrunnen Überkingen-Teinach AG. The word Staatlich in its name means that the spring used to be owned by the state (specifically, the German state of Rhineland-Palatinate) until 1990.

In 2001, another company called Karlsberg bought most of the shares in Mineralbrunnen Überkingen-Teinach. This purchase included Staatl. Fachingen water and other brands like Afri-Cola.

Products and Popularity

Since 2008, Staatl. Fachingen has also started selling water with different flavors. This gives people more choices besides the original mineral water.
