Starting with S Club Juniors
Stacey McClean was born in Bispham, Blackpool, England. In 2001, when she was 12 years old, she tried out for a new children's pop group called S Club Juniors. She won a spot in the group!
While in S Club Juniors, Stacey and her bandmate Rochelle Humes often wore their hair in its natural curly style. The group released three songs and an album. They also appeared as guests on the TV show Viva S Club.
Becoming S Club 8
After the group S Club 7 split up in 2003, the company 19 Entertainment decided to keep S Club Juniors going. They changed the group's name to S Club 8. Under this new name, they released three more songs and a second album.
In 2004, Stacey and the other members of S Club 8 starred in a children's musical TV comedy called I Dream. This show was filmed in Spain. It had thirteen episodes and was shown on BBC One. S Club 8 stopped making music together in 2005.
Trying Out for The X Factor
In 2009, Stacey McClean auditioned for The X Factor in Manchester. She sang the song "Ain't No Other Man" by Christina Aguilera. Her audition was shown on the 100th episode of the show.
Stacey made it through to the "boot camp" stage. After singing with other people, she moved into the top 50 acts. Then, she had to sing a solo song to try and reach the final 24. She succeeded and made it into the top 24!
Stacey was placed in the "Girls (16–24)" group. Her mentor was Dannii Minogue, who was helped by her sister, Kylie. For the final audition, held in Dubai, Stacey sang "Sometimes" by Britney Spears. However, she was eliminated before the live shows began.

Their first performance was in January 2013. They also created an official Twitter page for the group. However, this reunion did not last long due to a lack of public support.
In December 2021, Stacey joined a group called S Club Allstars. She took the place of former S Club 7 member Jo O'Meara.
