I Dream was a fun British TV show from 2004. It was a sitcom (a funny show with a regular cast) and a musical, made for teenagers. The show was set at a special performing arts school called Avalon Heights, near Barcelona, Spain. It followed 13 teenagers who got to spend their summer there.
All eight members of the pop group S Club 8 were in the show. They played characters with their own names, but they were like funnier versions of themselves. Five other young actors and actresses also starred, along with famous Hollywood actor Christopher Lloyd from the Back to the Future movies.
Every episode of I Dream featured exciting songs and dance numbers. Both the band members and other cast members took part. One of the cast members, George Wood, described the show as "a modern day Fame."
The company that made I Dream was 19 Television. This company is part of 19 Management, which is owned by Simon Fuller. He was also the main producer of the show. The first episode of I Dream aired on Wednesday, September 22, 2004, on BBC One. The show later moved to Thursdays. The last episode, which was the thirteenth, aired on December 16, 2004. It featured a guest appearance by Laila Rouass. If you wanted to watch the show again in the UK, reruns were shown on the CBBC Channel.
