Back to the Future is a super fun 1985 American science fiction teen comedy adventure movie. It stars Michael J. Fox, Christopher Lloyd, and Crispin Glover. The movie was made by Robert Zemeckis and Bob Gale. It's the first movie in an exciting trilogy of three films.
What's the Story?
In 1985, a teenager named Marty McFly meets his eccentric scientist friend, Doc Emmett Brown. Doc shows Marty his newest invention: a car that can travel through time! This amazing time machine is made from a DeLorean car.
The heart of the time machine is something called the "flux capacitor." Doc Brown invented it. To make the flux capacitor work, the car needs a lot of power.
Marty accidentally uses the car to escape from some bad guys. He suddenly finds himself in the year 1955! Now, Marty needs to find a way to get back to 1985.
He finds the younger Doc Brown from 1955. But there's a big problem: the time machine is out of its special fuel. This fuel is not available in 1955. Luckily, Marty remembers a special event happening soon. A lightning bolt is set to strike the town's clock tower at a specific time. This lightning strike can provide the huge amount of power needed to send the DeLorean and Marty back to 1985.
Things get even more complicated in 1955. Marty accidentally meets his own parents when they were teenagers. He accidentally changes how his parents first met. His teenage mother becomes interested in Marty instead of his father, George. If his parents don't fall in love, Marty might never be born!
With the help of the 1955 Doc, Marty must fix the past. He needs to make sure his mother falls in love with his father. He has very little time to do this. Then, he must get back to the DeLorean. He needs to use the lightning strike to travel back to the future, which is 1985.
