Stacy Francis is an American singer and actress. She is well-known for being part of the girl group Ex Girlfriend. She also gained fame as a contestant on the first season of The X Factor USA. Stacy has appeared on many TV shows. She even performed for actor Tom Cruise at his 40th birthday party. In 2017, Stacy joined the UK TV show Celebrity Big Brother.

Stacy Francis's Career Journey
Starting with Ex Girlfriend (1991–1995)
In 1991, Stacy Francis joined a music group called Ex Girlfriend. The famous group Full Force managed them. Ex Girlfriend signed with Forceful Records, part of Reprise Records.
Their first album, X Marks the Spot, came out in October 1991. The song "Why Can't You Come Home" was very popular. It reached the top five on Billboard's Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Songs chart. Because of this success, they performed on TV shows like Soul Train. In August 1994, they released their second album, It's a Woman Thang. The group broke up in 1995. This happened due to low sales and management issues.
Broadway and Acting Roles (1992–2009)
Stacy Francis also has a strong acting career. In 1992, she starred in an off-Broadway musical. It was called Mama, I Want To Sing!. Stacy played the main character, Doris Winter. This character's life was based on the singer Doris Troy. Stacy stayed with this show until 1996. A soundtrack for the musical was released in 1995. It featured Stacy, Doris Troy, and Chaka Khan.
In October 1998, Stacy performed on Broadway. She was in the musical Footloose. Stacy played the role of "Rusty." She sang lead on songs like "Somebody's Eyes" and "Let's Hear It for the Boy". She also shared lead vocals on "Holding Out for a Hero" and "Footloose (Finale)". These songs were on the Footloose the Musical album in 1999.

In 2011, Stacy Francis tried out for the first season of The X Factor USA. The judges were L.A. Reid, Paula Abdul, Cheryl Cole, and Simon Cowell. She sang "(You Make Me Feel Like) A Natural Woman" by Aretha Franklin. All four judges said yes, and she moved forward.
During the show, Stacy shared that her father had just passed away. She made it through the bootcamp rounds. Then she went to the judges' houses. There, Nicole Scherzinger became her mentor. Nicole had replaced Cheryl Cole as a judge.
Stacy was eliminated in week 4. She was in the bottom two with Astro. Judges L.A. Reid, Paula Abdul, and Simon Cowell chose to keep Astro. The Stacy Francis Show and Celebrity Big Brother (2015–2017)
In February 2015, Stacy Francis started her own talk show. It was called "The Stacy Francis Show." Episodes were uploaded to the show's YouTube channel. She also joined the TVOne series R&B Divas: Los Angeles.
In January 2017, Stacy became a housemate on Celebrity Big Brother 19 in the UK. She finished in 11th place.
Recent Activities (2018–Present)
In 2018, Stacy signed with a global artist agency in London. She also released a song called "Into My Eyes." It featured American singer Brandy Norwood. Stacy is currently working in West End in London.
Helping Others: Philanthropy
In 2020, Stacy released a new song called "We Stand Together." She partnered with American Power and Gas. This company has provided over one million meals. They are now working with Stacy and her family's church. Their goal is to help feed the Brownsville community, where Stacy grew up.
In 2021, Stacy Francis and artist Alex Righetto started The Stacy Francis Music, Art & Education Foundation. Their goal is to help people who have fewer chances in life.
