Group History

Creating Music for Others

Full Force is very well-known for writing and producing songs for other artists. A music producer helps an artist record their songs. They guide the sound and overall feel of the music. Full Force has worked with many famous names. These include Britney Spears, Backstreet Boys, 'N Sync, and Rihanna.

Their first big hit as producers was "Roxanne, Roxanne" by UTFO in 1984. This song was so popular that it led to other songs being made in response to it! They also helped Lisa Lisa and Cult Jam create huge hits. Some of these were "I Wonder If I Take You Home" and "Head to Toe".

They also produced songs for Samantha Fox, like "Naughty Girls (Need Love Too)". For R&B singer Cheryl Pepsii Riley, they made the number one R&B hit "Thanks for My Child". They even helped the legendary singer James Brown with his song "I'm Real". This song became his biggest hit in 14 years!

Full Force also worked with La Toya Jackson and Patti LaBelle. They even sang backing vocals on two songs by the famous singer-songwriter Bob Dylan. In the 1990s, they produced "All I Have to Give" for the Backstreet Boys. This song was a top 5 hit in the US and number 2 in the UK. They also helped The Black Eyed Peas write their worldwide hit "Don't Phunk with My Heart".

Making Their Own Music

Besides producing for others, Full Force also releases their own albums and songs. Their song "Alice, I Want You Just for Me!" was a top 10 hit in the UK in 1986. They had several hit songs on the US R&B charts in the late 1980s. Songs like "Unselfish Lover" and "Temporary Love Thing" were played a lot on the radio. "All in My Mind" was their first song to reach the top ten on the R&B chart in 1988.

In 2007, they released an album called Legendary. It included a song called "We're Feeling You, Oprah." This song was inspired by their mother's love for Oprah Winfrey.

Acting Roles

The group also showed off their acting skills! They appeared in the 1990 comedy movie House Party. They also appeared in its sequel, House Party 2. In these movies, they played the bullies of the main characters, Kid 'n Play. One of their songs, "Ain't My Type of Hype," was used in a dance battle scene in the first House Party movie.
