Stadsparksvallen, often called Vallen, is a famous sports stadium in Jönköping, Sweden. It is a classic place for many exciting games.
This stadium opened in 1902. It sits high up in the Jönköping City Park, west of the city. It is the home field for the football team Jönköpings Södra IF. Another team, IK Tord, also played its home games here for some seasons.
For many years, until 1981, people also used Stadsparksvallen for track and field events. Jönköpings Södra IF has played 10 seasons in Sweden's top football league, Allsvenskan, at this stadium. The Sweden women's national football team has played three times at the venue. Their first game there was in 1985 against Belgium.
In 2003, the Swedish Sports Confederation celebrated its 100th anniversary. Stadsparksvallen was chosen as one of Sweden's 100 most important sports historical places.
