Stanley Myron Bryant, born on May 7, 1986, is an American professional football player. He plays as an offensive lineman for the Winnipeg Blue Bombers in the Canadian Football League (CFL). Before becoming a pro, he played college football at Elizabeth City State University and East Carolina University. Bryant also played for the Denver Broncos and Calgary Stampeders.

Early Life and High School Football

Stanley Bryant grew up in Goldsboro, North Carolina. He went to Goldsboro High School. There, he was a key player on the Mighty Cougars football team for three years. In 2003, he was named the team's defensive player of the year.

College Football Journey

Bryant started his college football career in 2005. He played for the Elizabeth City State Vikings. Later, in 2006, he moved to East Carolina University. He joined the East Carolina Pirates as a walk-on player.

Professional Football Career

Stanley Bryant has had a long and successful career in professional football. He has played for teams in both the National Football League (NFL) and the Canadian Football League (CFL).

Time with the Denver Broncos

After the 2009 NFL Draft, the Denver Broncos signed Bryant on April 27, 2009. This was his first step into professional football. However, he was released by the Broncos on August 25, 2009. He did not play in any regular season games for them.

Playing for the Calgary Stampeders

Bryant then moved to the Canadian Football League. The Calgary Stampeders signed him on June 16, 2010. He made his first CFL start on October 22, 2010. He played as a right tackle against the BC Lions. Bryant quickly became a top player. He was named a CFL All-Star and a CFL West All-Star in both 2013 and 2014. The Stampeders also nominated him for the CFL's Most Outstanding Offensive Lineman Award in 2011 and 2013.

Success with the Winnipeg Blue Bombers

On February 10, 2015, Bryant joined the Winnipeg Blue Bombers. He made an immediate impact, starting every game in his first two seasons with the team. His strong play led to contract extensions. He signed a new deal with the Bombers on January 4, 2016. He signed another one-year extension on January 5, 2021. Even at 36 years old, Bryant continued to be a key player. He agreed to another contract extension with the Bombers on January 5, 2023.

Stanley Bryant has won several major awards and championships in the CFL. He is a three-time Grey Cup champion, winning in 2014, 2019, and 2021. He has also won the CFL's Most Outstanding Offensive Lineman Award four times (2017, 2018, 2021, 2022). He has been named a CFL All-Star multiple times, including in 2013, 2014, 2017, 2018, 2019, 2021, 2022, and 2024.
