Star Harbor is in the western part of Henderson County. It sits on a piece of land that sticks out into the south end of Cedar Creek Reservoir. Think of it like a small finger of land reaching into the lake!
The city is surrounded by the main part of the lake to its south, west, and north. There's also an arm of the lake, created by Caney Creek, to the northeast. Star Harbor is about 4 miles northwest of Malakoff. It is also about 13 miles west of Athens, which is the main city for Henderson County.
