Steele is a small town located in the northeastern part of St. Clair County, Alabama, in the United States. It became an official town in 1952. In 2010, about 1,043 people lived there. The town is part of the larger Birmingham–Hoover–Cullman Combined Statistical Area. Long ago, in the late 1800s, it was known as Steel's Station or Steele's Depot.
