Stockton Bend is a small city located in Hood County, Texas, United States. It was first started in May 2004. At that time, it was known as "Brazos Bend." The city is built along the Brazos River.
In 2020, about 380 people lived in Stockton Bend. It is part of the larger Granbury area, which is a group of nearby towns. The city's name was changed to Stockton Bend more recently.

Where is Stockton Bend Located?
Stockton Bend is in the northeastern part of Hood County. It sits on both sides of the Brazos River. The river here forms a lake called Lake Granbury.
Interestingly, there is no bridge inside the city that connects the two parts of Stockton Bend. Most of the city is on the west side of the river. This area is inside a curve of the river, which is called the Stockton Bend. The city is about 4 miles (6.4 km) northeast of Granbury, which is the main town of Hood County.
