Stormarn is a special kind of area in Schleswig-Holstein, Germany, called a district (or Kreis in German). Think of it like a county. Its main town, where the local government offices are, is Bad Oldesloe.

Stormarn is surrounded by other areas. To the north, it has the districts of Segeberg and Ostholstein. To the east, you'll find the city of Lübeck and the district of Lauenburg. To the south, it borders the big city of Hamburg.

The Trave river flows through the Stormarn district. It then continues its journey into the city of Lübeck.
