History of Strandquist
When Was Strandquist Founded?
The city of Strandquist got its name from a Swedish pioneer merchant named J. E. Strandquist. He was born in 1870 and moved to the area in 1892. A post office was opened in Strandquist in 1899, helping the community grow. The city officially became a town on July 31, 1923.
