Where is Strathmoor Manor Located?
Strathmoor Manor is in the central part of Jefferson County. It shares a border with Strathmoor Village to the northeast. On all other sides, it is surrounded by the much larger city of Louisville.
A main road called U.S. Route 150 (also known as Bardstown Road) forms the northeast edge of the city. Strathmoor Manor is about 5 miles (8 kilometers) southeast of downtown Louisville.

Much of Strathmoor Manor was built by a developer named Clarence C. Hieatt. He was very busy and created over 70 different neighborhoods in Louisville over 60 years! Strathmoor Manor was developed bit by bit between 1921 and 1925. It officially became a city in 1931.
