History of Stratton
Stratton began its story around 1881. It started as a train station, also called a depot, for the Chicago, Burlington and Quincy Railroad. This railroad helped connect different parts of the country.
The village was named after Mary Stratton. She was one of the first people to own the land where the town was built.
