Strevell in the News
Years after it became a ghost town, Strevell made national headlines. This happened because of a special event that took place there.
A Child's Discovery
On July 14, 1983, a four-year-old girl went missing from a movie theater in Salt Lake City, Utah. A large search began, but she was not found right away.
Two days later, the Box Elder County Sheriff's Office in Utah got an important call. A person riding a motorcycle reported finding the girl. She was sitting in the abandoned school building in Strevell. The police did not believe the biker was involved in her disappearance. This discovery brought Strevell into the national spotlight.
