Sturges Road railway station is a busy train stop in Henderson, a suburb of Auckland. It's part of the Western Line, which is one of the main train lines in the Auckland area. This station helps many people get around the city every day.

The Story of Sturges Road Station

The station first opened its doors on April 30, 1934. This was part of bigger plans to make train travel better in the northern parts of Auckland.

For many years, the station's name was spelled incorrectly as 'Sturgess Road'. The road was actually named after the Sturges family, who lived nearby in the 1800s. The correct spelling was finally used starting in the 1990s.

Getting Around: Train Services

Sturges Road Station is on the Western Line. This line connects Swanson in the west to the Britomart Transport Centre in downtown Auckland.

Train services are run by Transdev Auckland. They work for Auckland Transport (AT), which manages public transport in Auckland. These trains are a great way for people to travel for school, work, or fun.
