Sugar Sand Park is a super fun public park located in Boca Raton, Florida. It was created by the Greater Boca Raton Beach and Park District. The City of Boca Raton manages the park every day. It's even won awards for being awesome, like "Best of the Best Parks" in 2007!
In 2017, the park got a big makeover! It was updated to be welcoming for everyone, including people with disabilities. The playground is now completely friendly for wheelchairs. Plus, new activity stations were added for kids with different physical and thinking abilities. This means more kids can play and have fun together!
Outdoor Fun at Sugar Sand Park
Sugar Sand Park has lots of cool things to do outside. You can find many picnic tables if you want to have a meal outdoors. There's also a science-themed water playground where you can splash around and learn. Don't forget the fun carousel ride!
The park also has a big open field for running and playing. If you love sports, you'll find 6 baseball fields, 2 basketball courts, and an inline hockey court. There's something for everyone to enjoy outside!
The Field House: Indoor Sports Center
The Field House is a large indoor sports building at Sugar Sand Park. It has two big indoor basketball courts. This is where many sports leagues, tournaments, and special events happen.
You can also take different classes and join activities here, like fencing and tae kwon do. The Field House is also open for public pick-up games of basketball and volleyball. It's a great place to stay active indoors!
