Suma Kanakala (born Pallassana Paachuveettil on 22 March 1975) is a famous Indian television presenter, actress, and producer. She mostly works in Telugu TV shows and movies. Many people know her for hosting Star Mahila, a popular game show on ETV. This show is special because it ran for 12 years, making it India's longest-running TV game show!

Early Life and School
Suma was born on 22 March 1975 in Palakkad, Kerala. Her family is from Kerala. She is the only child of her parents. When she was just six months old, her family moved to Secunderabad, which is now in Telangana. They moved because her father worked for the Indian Railways.
Suma grew up in the Lalaguda and Mettuguda areas of Secunderabad. She went to St. Ann's High School. Later, she studied at Railway Degree College in Lalaguda.
Suma's Amazing Career
Suma started her career as a TV presenter when she was only 16 years old. She has hosted many events, like movie music launches and film awards. Even though she is from Kerala and her first language is Malayalam, she speaks Telugu very well!
Becoming a TV Star
Suma started acting in TV shows and telefilms in 1995. She became very well-known when more TV channels started. Some of her important TV dramas were Swayamvaram, Anveshitha, Geethanjali, and Ravoyi Chandamama. She wasn't very interested in working in movies at that time.
Star Mahila and Other Shows
Suma's most famous show is Star Mahila on ETV. Many women loved watching this show. It became one of the longest-running women's game shows in India, which is a huge achievement!
In 2012, Suma started her own production company called K. Suma Rajeev Creations. She produced a show called Lakku Kikku for Zee Telugu. She also worked on a show called Genes on ETV. Another show she hosted was Kevvu Keka on MAA TV, which she also produced. Suma is known for her quick wit and funny comments during her shows. She even sang a song called "Suya Suya" for the 2017 Telugu movie Winner.
Suma's Family Life
Suma married Tollywood actor Rajeev Kanakala on 10 February 1999 in Hyderabad. They have two children, a son named Roshan Karthik Kanakala and a daughter named Manaswini Kanakala. Besides her native language Malayalam, Suma can speak Telugu, Hindi, Tamil, and English very well.
