The Town of Sumner is a small community located in Barron County, in the U.S. state of Wisconsin. In 2020, about 699 people lived there. This was a bit less than the 798 people counted in 2010. Some smaller communities like Canton, Lehigh, and Sumner are found within the town's area.

The Town of Sumner is located on the eastern side of Barron County. It shares its eastern border with Rusk County. A main road, U.S. Route 8, goes through the town from east to west.
