Sun City Texas is a large community in Georgetown, Texas. It covers about 4,750 acres (19 km²). This special place is for people aged 55 and older. It is located about 35 miles north of Austin. Sun City Texas is part of a group of communities started by a company called Del Webb.
Del Webb first built homes in Sun City Texas. Later, another company called PulteGroup took over. Most homes here are single-family houses. There are also a few duplexes, which are like two homes joined together. People who want to see what it's like can stay in special "Explore Del Webb Program" houses for a few days. The community plans to have about 10,550 homes in total. This means about 18,500 people will live there.

Sun City Texas is a lively place for people who have retired. Many residents are "active adults." They enjoy playing tennis, golf, and dancing. They also do yoga and join many clubs. The average age of people living here is about 71.
Getting Around with Golf Carts
It is legal to drive special "golf cars" on the streets here. This is because of a change in state law. All activity centers and shopping areas have parking spots for these golf cars. This makes it easy for residents to get around.
