Location and Landscape
Sunrise Beach Village is found on the southern edge of Lake Lyndon B. Johnson. This lake is a popular spot for water activities. The city is about 43 miles (69 km) west of Austin, a much larger city.
The United States Census Bureau says that the city covers a total area of about 2.3 square miles (5.9 km2). A good part of this area, about 0.6 square miles (1.57 km2), is water, mostly from Lake LBJ. The land area is about 1.6 square miles (4.37 km2).
