Suttle, also known as Felix, is a small place in Perry County, Alabama, United States. It's called an "unincorporated community" because it doesn't have its own local government like a city or town. Suttle is found along Alabama State Route 14. It is about 10.6 miles (17.1 km) southeast of a larger town called Marion.
History of Suttle
Suttle got its name from the family of James F. Suttle. He was the postmaster, which means he was in charge of the local post office, in 1933. Before that, the post office in this area was called Felix. It operated under the name Felix from 1880 to 1933. Then, it changed to Suttle and stayed that way until 1973.
